Dendracalumus Stricta

I purchased some seeds of this species in March 2004 from a seller on eBay.

These are pics of the seedlings as I first noted growth about 2 weeks after planting followed by growth over the next few weeks. The seedlings were eventually transplanted into four inch pots and put in the shade outside. Initial germination rate was about 80%.

March 2006. The seedlings that survived the winter have all been potted up into 1 gals. Root mass is unbelievable and the plants have already begun shooting. We had quite a few die off from the summer heat but still have several hundred left. Most lost their leaves over the winter and almost all looked dead, however, new branching and leafs have also started emerging.
