Sasa palmata

Sasa palmata is a semi-dwarf running bamboo that will reach to heights of about 6 feet with culms about 1/2" in diameter. Older culms have a marbled color, with alternating shades of dark and light brown. This one currently is potted on my front porch with another pot going in the ground this fall at my brother's house. There hasn't been much new growth out of these and I'm hoping that giving them room to expand will greatly increase the size of them. Honestly I've had them 2 years now and they look about the same as the day I got them, just a little fuller.
