Banana Propagation

Bananas, like most other plants, can be propagated by seed or division. However, not all bananas produce seed, so these have to be propagated by division. Propagation of bananas thorugh division involves seperating the pup from the mother plant. The pups (or offshoots) are the next generation of bananas that will replace the existing banana plant once it fruits and dies. Therefore it is necessary to leave a few pups and not harvest them all from the mother.

I will be dividing one of my bananas soon and will document it step by step then post it here. Here are some pics of previous pups before and after seperation.
