Ice Cream Banana
aka Blue Java

The Ice Cream banana is a very fast growing, reaching a full height of 12 to 14 feet in as little as nine months. The plant is a vibrant green color with very large leaves. Fruit produced is very sweet and creamy, and goes great with what else...ice cream! The Ice Cream banana's fruit has a bluish color while developing, hence the nickname Blue Java. The Ice Cream banana has been the only consistent fruit producer in our collection. If you have bananas then I highly recommend adding this one to your landscape! Cold hardy to Zone 8.
