A native of the Himilaya's, this magnificent fishtail palm is
not very common in the landscape. However, they can be quite striking
when presented this way. Solitaire in nature, they can be fast
growing depending on growing conditions and are the most cold
hardy of the Caryota species, reputed to withstand down to 18
degrees F. The only down side of this majestic palm is that once
it sets seeds and the lower most infructance matures the palm
starts to die.
We currently have 1 and 2 year old seedlings growing in 1 gal
pots.
