Native to Brazil, the Arikury palm is a medium sized solitary palm growing to heights of about 10 ft. Established palms show good cold hardiness and petiols have some spines at the base. Not as fast growing as the Queen palm, but with proper fertilizing and watering grows quite nice. Also, this palms starts flowering at an earlier age compared to other Syagrus palms.

We had a few seedlings of this palm growing, but they wer killed by the freeze. I hope to have a few of these growing again soon.
