Old Blush climber rose is the vigourous climbing form of Old Blush. Though the date of introduction is uncertain, Old Blush has been around for hundreds of years in the Western hemisphere, and has been known in China for over a thousand years. It is probably the most valuable rose in history as it has passed on traits and characteristics to thousands of other hybrids. This wonderful rose produces small, fragrant light pink flowers that fade to a darker pink with age. A repeat bloomer that continues to produce beautiful flowers throughout the growing season, however, extreme heat tends to slow the bloom production but it picks up once the temps cool down a bit. Old Blush is another antique rose that thrives well in poor soil and has very few pest and disease problems. Also an excellent hip producer. If left to grow unattended or trained it will climb to heights of over 15 feet! Recommended for zones 7 through 9, this was another of my original antique roses in my collection and has performed very well in my NE Florida environment.
